BACKGROUND
Inspired by the dream of the return of the non-socially-distanced hug, this print is about the power of closeness. Designed during lockdown in 2021 as an homage to the tiny but deeply precious things, like hugs with friends and family, that we may once have taken for granted.
+ Printing Method
Each print is individually pressed from a hand-carved lino block using the traditional burnishing method. The manual printing process enables texture to be incorporated into the design in a unique way, celebrating the handmade nature of traditional techniques.

This print is made using professional oil-based relief ink by Cranfield Colours on 100% acid-free paper. All the materials I use are of professional artist’s quality, making this artwork a genuine, long-lasting investment.

Each print is hand-signed, titled and dated by year in pencil. You will receive a signed certificate of authenticity with your print, guaranteeing that it is a 100% genuine piece of original art.
